They are seeking a talented and visionary Head of AI Communication to lead the development of AI-driven human-robot interaction technologies, integrating Generative AI and Physical AI for seamless communication through speech, gestures, and multimodal interfaces.
Job Summary:
You will define and drive AI-based interaction strategies, focusing on Generative AI models for speech, dialogue generation, emotion recognition, and Physical AI for gesture-based and embodied communication. You will oversee a team developing state-of-the-art NLP, computer vision, and multi-modal AI solutions to enable natural, human-like interaction in humanoid robots.
This role requires deep expertise in AI-powered conversational agents, speech synthesis & recognition, gesture understanding, and multimodal AI models that bridge cognitive AI with physical expressions in robotics.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
Define and execute the long-term strategy for AI-powered human-robot communication, ensuring alignment with The companys' mission.
Drive innovation in Generative AI and Physical AI, improving speech synthesis, dialogue modeling, facial expression recognition, and gestural interaction.
Ensure AI communication systems support real-time, dynamic, and context-aware responses for humanoid robots.
- Team & Project Management
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary AI team, including experts in NLP, Generative AI, computer vision (CV), and robotics.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI communication models, ensuring high performance and real-world applicability.
Collaborate with robotics, hardware, and embedded AI teams to integrate AI-driven communication with real-world robotic movements and gestures.
- Technical Research & Implementation
Develop Generative AI models for conversational AI, speech-to-text (ASR), text-to-speech (TTS), and emotional AI.
Implement foundation models (LLMs) like GPT, BERT, or customized Transformer-based architectures to improve dialogue comprehension and generation.
Enhance Physical AI capabilities for non-verbal communication, including gesture recognition, body language understanding, and emotion-adaptive robotics.
Apply multimodal learning techniques, combining speech, vision, and physical gestures for holistic robot-human interaction.
Utilize reinforcement learning (RL) and imitation learning to refine context-adaptive communication behaviors in humanoid robots.
Optimize AI-driven interaction models for low-latency and real-time deployment on edge AI devices.
- Risk Management & Compliance
Identify and mitigate risks related to AI safety, bias in language models, and real-world deployment of conversational AI.
Ensure compliance with industry standards in AI ethics, privacy, and safety regulations for human-robot interaction.
- Stakeholder Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for AI communication projects, presenting findings and updates to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Translate complex AI-driven interaction concepts into actionable insights for business and product teams.
Requirements:
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, NLP, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:
· Extensive experience in Generative AI for communication, including:
Large Language Models (LLMs) for dialogue management.
Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Speech-to-Text (ASR) models.
Voice cloning and emotional AI for expressive speech synthesis.
· Strong expertise in Physical AI, including:
Gesture and facial expression recognition using computer vision and deep learning.
Multimodal learning (speech + vision + motion).
Reinforcement Learning (RL) for adaptive interaction.
· Deep understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) principles and social robotics.
· Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, and NLP/CV toolkits.
· Hands-on experience in deploying conversational AI in real-time robotics systems.-
Experience:
7+ years of experience in AI-driven NLP, Generative AI, or human-robot interaction or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in building scalable AI communication frameworks for robotics, chatbots, or virtual assistants.
A track record of successful AI communication implementations in real-world robotic applications.
