MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

  • Provide  leadership, direction, and support in all aspects of utility      and sustainability project activities. Drive operational improvements      and the use of new utility technology at international plants.

  • Drive data use in business decisions – improve utility data accuracy and visualization. Maintain and update the utility monitoring system.

  • Ensure  current equipment is operating as designed using the utility monitoring  program. Drive improvement in utility efficiency.

  • Lead sustainability deliverables – decarbonization and cost savings for international sites.

  • Manage all aspects of program management practices.

  • Be involved in external utility activities on behalf of Division Engineering.

  • Develop correlations between operations and utility usage across sites and highlight savings opportunities.

  • Undertake special assignments or projects as directed by the Regional Director.

  • Standardize utility designs across sites and compare performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all utility projects in the region.

  • Create links with relevant plant personnel and Division personnel and introduce new utility projects across every site.

  • Support best practices in technical development, new technology implementation, project management, and all relevant aspects of plant utility operation.

  • Work with Division Engineering in strategic areas of capital planning,      sustainability planning, manufacturing, etc., to ensure that AN      International Plants can deliver on utility and sustainability      commitments.

  • Share  best practices across international plants. Provide guidance and training related to efficiency and equipment reliability improvements.

  • Gate keeper for Utility front end planning projects.

  • Interaction  with governmental agencies.

Requirements

  • This position requires a good degree of interaction with groups across various locations of ANSC. Decisions taken within this position can have a  considerable effect on AN International plants’ operations.

  • Build links across various plants and with division and corporate engineering functions.

  • Management  experience in a manufacturing or engineering setup.

  • Active or previous energy manager certification is preferred.

  • Influencing  skills are essential for this position within and outside of the  organization.

  • Strong  communication skills are required.

  • Project management skills are a must.

  • Utility knowledge is a must. Production knowledge is helpful.

  • Influencing skills are essential for this position within and outside of the organization.

  • Previous certification or Current certification as a Energy Manager is a plus.
